A world of fantasy

This piece is a bit different from the others...
It has a more solid relation to dream and fantasy, maybe to a younger vision of fantasy than what we're accustomed to see...

I chose the colour theme as to inspire twist and unease, those same feelings (we hardly confess) that we get when we spoil the child inside nowadays...

The piece's lighting depends on three different simulated light sources positioned behind the main shape reminding of some sort of carousel. The wide perspective is made to give an impression of motion...

The whole piece radiates a feeling of ill-fated joy if I may use the word...

Author's Note

This piece depicts an unspoken concept: growing up.

While time passes, we build around what we were. In a way, we aren't that different from a tree growing rings. Our younger selves are still somewhere inside.

As the newer layers build up, we tend to grow a feeling of “shame” towards showing the inner, older ones, there's where the gap forms: Our public image lies on the newer side; the inner side, cut out from the world, conceals our younger self.

Let's get in touch!
